Get To Know Dr. Kaylee Bergman
Dr. Bergman has taken a truly unique path toward orthodontics. As a child, she was drawn to math and sciences and decided to study engineering in college. After graduating, she worked as a design engineer for nearly five years. But after serious reflection on how her interest in the physical and biological sciences could best serve her desire to directly improve others' quality of life, she realized that dentistry was the perfect fit. Shadowing a family member who had become a dentist only confirmed what she already sensed — that dental care was her true calling.
So she left her job in engineering and was accepted in the School of Dentistry at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. During her time in dental school, Dr. Bergman was naturally drawn to material sciences, where she found the perfect outlet to apply her engineering background. She soon realized that orthodontics was the ideal blend of structure, problem-solving, and creativity—what she lovingly calls the “engineering of dentistry.” Earning her dental degree, a master’s in Oral & Craniofacial Sciences, and her certification as an orthodontist, Dr. Bergman is grateful to have found her true calling and the niche where she thrives.
After graduating in 2019, Dr. Bergman worked in orthodontic practices for five years before deciding to open Creekside Orthodontics. As the owner of her own practice, she has the unique opportunity to pursue her own vision of orthodontic care.
Dr. Bergman truly believes orthodontics is the perfect fit for her - allowing her to apply her engineering background to improve health and confidence for her patients. She absolitley loves the transformative experience of orthodontic treatment for patients of all ages.
Dr. Bergman and her husband Bryce are also proud parents of three precious kids. Her experiences as a mother inform her clinical decision making as an orthodontist.
Outside of the office, Dr. Bergman’s family keeps her quite busy. You’ll often find them exploring the Overland Park community by scooter and bicycle, cheering on her kids in local youth sports and activities, heading to the lake during the summer, or enjoying ski trips in the mountains come winter. Dr. Bergman also enjoys connecting and collaborating with colleagues through her involvement in professional organizations like the Kansas Dental Association, American Association of Orthodontists, Kansas City Women Dentists, and more.

We offer free, no-commitment orthodontic consultations at Creekside Orthodontics—because we believe your smile journey should start with clarity and confidence.
At this first visit, you’ll check in with our friendly team before heading to a private exam room to meet Dr. Bergman. She’ll get to know you, learn about your goals, and perform a thorough exam that may include digital X-rays and photos. This appointment isn’t just about your teeth—it’s about understanding who you are and what you want from treatment.
After reviewing her findings, Dr. Bergman will walk you through your treatment options, answer any questions about cost, timing, and results, and give you the space to decide when (and if) you’d like to move forward. There's no pressure, just honest guidance and a roadmap to your best smile.
